Problems We Solve
NSFI empowers marginalised communities, women, economically weaker sections, socially excluded groups, through programmes, research and policy convergence across gender equality, entrepreneurship, climate action, agriculture, market development, digital literacy, education and health, aligned with national priorities.
What We Do
Agriculture & Livelihoods
Smallholder farmers face unstable incomes due to fragmented markets, weak bargaining, limited adoption of climate-resilient practices.
Gender Equality
Rural women lack access to market-relevant skills, capital, and enterprise opportunities, limiting economic independence and decision-making power.
Climate Change
Rural India remains vulnerable to climate shifts: low adoption of climate-smart practices and limited access to clean energy.
Health
Rural communities face limited access to affordable healthcare: distance, cost, and low awareness delay diagnosis and treatment.
Digital & Financial Literacy
Rural communities remain excluded from digital and financial systems, limiting access to credit, savings, and resources.
Incubation & Entrepreneurship Development
Rural entrepreneurs lack training, market insights, finance, and mentoring to transform ideas into viable, sustainable enterprises.
Education
Rural and remote learners face weak learning infrastructure (labs, libraries, digital tools) and a gap in employability skills.
Why We Do It
NSFI bridges the gap between capability and livelihood by combining training, enterprise support and market access. We build institutions, not dependencies, converging with government schemes rather than duplicating them: shifting marginalised communities from excluded to included, informal to formal, precarious to durable.
Who are weHow we work
We turn research and partnership into pathways that last: enterprise and income where the work is livelihoods, and capability, access, and resilience where the work is health, education, or climate. Every model is grounded in evidence, strengthened through convergence with governments, corporates, and institutions, and carried through incubation until it can stand on its own.
Research & Evidence Building
Every programme starts with evidence, not assumption. We study what's working on the ground, test it, and turn that learning into models designed for scale, not just for a pilot.
Stakeholder Convergence
No single actor closes a livelihood gap alone. We align with governments, corporates, and institutions, converging with schemes already active on the ground so public effort and ours extend each other's reach.
Programme Implementation
Design becomes delivery here. Depending on the theme, that means skills training and market access carried through to income, or diagnostics, curricula, and infrastructure carried through to lasting access: one connected, evidence-led pathway either way.
Incubation
Promising ideas need more than good intentions. We back them with seed capital and hands-on mentoring until the enterprise sustains itself, a model now running beyond India.
