What We Do at ActImpact (NSFI)
We Build Sustainable Livelihoods
ActImpact designs and delivers integrated livelihood programmes that combine skills training, enterprise support, and market access to create sustained income opportunities. Across 100+ interventions, this approach has enabled over 8 lakh individuals to improve their livelihoods, through 45+ skilling projects, 19 market linkage initiatives, and 11 enterprise support programmes. By embedding research into implementation, ActImpact ensures that solutions are not only effective on the ground but also scalable and systemically relevant. The focus remains on building economically capable communities where individuals can earn, grow, and sustain their incomes over time.

How we work
We turn research and partnership into pathways that last: enterprise and income where the work is livelihoods, and capability, access, and resilience where the work is health, education, or climate. Every model is grounded in evidence, strengthened through convergence with governments, corporates, bilateral and multilateral agencies, and philanthropic partners, and carried through incubation until it can stand on its own.
Research & Evidence Building
Every programme starts with evidence, not assumption. We study what's working on the ground, test it, and revisit it as conditions change, turning field learning into models designed for scale, not just for a pilot.
Stakeholder Convergence
No single actor closes a livelihood gap alone. We align with governments, corporates, bilateral and multilateral agencies, and CSR and philanthropic partners, converging with schemes already active on the ground so public and private effort extend each other's reach.
Programme Implementation
Design becomes delivery here. Depending on the theme, that means skills training and market access carried through to income, or diagnostics, curricula, and infrastructure carried through to lasting access: one connected, evidence-led pathway either way.
Incubation
Promising ideas need more than good intentions. We back them with seed capital and hands-on mentoring, without taking equity or a share of what they earn, until the enterprise can sustain itself, a model now running beyond India.
